Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our premium gold plating services and care.

What is the difference between gold plated and gold filled jewelry?

Gold plating involves bonding a layer of real gold to a base metal via electroplating, while gold filled jewelry has a much thicker layer of gold mechanically bonded to the base. Our 18k and 24k plating provides a high-quality, luxurious finish at an accessible price point.

How long does your gold plating typically last?

With proper care, our high-micron plating typically lasts between 1 to 2 years. Factors such as skin acidity, frequency of wear, and exposure to chemicals like perfumes or lotions can affect the longevity of the finish.

Can I plate jewelry that I already own?

Yes, we specialize in restoration services. We can re-plate your worn-out silver, brass, or copper jewelry to restore its original luster, provided the surface is free of deep pitting or heavy corrosion.

What is your turnaround time for custom plating services?

Our standard processing time is 5-7 business days from the moment we receive your item at our facility. Shipping times vary based on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

How should I clean and maintain my gold-plated items?

To maintain the shine, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear. Avoid using abrasive jewelry cleaners or polishing cloths treated with chemicals, as these can strip the gold layer.

Do you offer a warranty on your plating services?

We offer a 6-month satisfaction guarantee. If your plating chips or fades prematurely due to a defect in our application process, we will re-plate the item free of charge.
